Obama now has nearly a 2 point lead in the polls according to RealClearPolitics. Not only that, but his favorability rating has also increased as McCain's slightly dipped. Also, the electoral map on RealClearPolitics has had quite a few changes made in terms of toss up states. McCain still leads electorally, but state polls are typically slower to come in. Chances are in the next few days the electoral lead will likely go Obama's way, or at least come close.
Personally, I think this election cycle it's all going to come down to Ohio (as always) but likely also Virginia. Looking at trends on RCP and poll numbers, that's how I think it stands right now. But there are still over 50 days left 'til election day so who knows how much things will change.
